This is the best novel of Orhan Pamuk, with such plot, mystery, murder, political background in Otoman Empire before V centuries. It is story about painting, what is by Muslim law not allowed, by Islam man should not make it images, because this is just Lord's job..But Sultan, Emperor would love it to have depicted books..Story is lace of word as fine Eastern filigran. The battle between several schools of painting and their masters..And the riddle, who has been killed by him and why..As real masters work book is example of real situation in Otoman Empire, relation ships and beyond all is art of depicting. You could imagine how is one manuscripte illuminated..and comapare this one wiht Orhan's writing.<br />Book should be read it several times..because each time you would discover something...
