CIRKLE

Echer cirkle

                                                                                    CIRKLE

Totality, perfection, unity, eternity, - a symbol of completeness that can include ideas of both permanence and dynamism. The correlation between the discoveries of atomic physics and mystical notions of the circle is striking. Apart from the point of the centre, with which it shares much of symbolism, the circle is only geometrical shape without divisions and alike the points. To the Neo- Platonist, the circle embodied the God, the uncircumcised centre of the cosmos. Because the circle, which can also represent beginning either end, it is most important and universal off all geometrical symbols in mystical thought. And because is implicit in other important symbols, including the wheel, disc, soon, ring, clock, moon, ourorobus, and Zodiac, ITS GENERALY HIGH SIGNIFICANT.
oreorobus
To the ancients, the observed cosmos preserved itself inescapably as circular – not only planets themselves, including they presumed the flat disc of the of the earth cikled by waters, but also their cyclical movements symbolized and the recurring cycles of the seasons . Symbolic meaning and function were combined in the use of the circle to calculate time (The sundial) and the space (directional or astronomical points, astrological of reference).Sky symbolism and belief in celestial power under laid primitive rituals primitive rituals and architecture thought the world - circular dancing or ceremonial walking around fires, altars or poles, the circular passing of the calumet in North America, the whirling of shamans, the circular megalithic markings, and fortifications of ringed monuments of the Neolithic period.
Circles had protective as well as celestial significance notably in Celtic world - and they still have this in the folklore of fairy rings and flying saucers. They also stand for inclusive harmony, as in the Arthurian round table or the “charmed cycle.” of acquaintanceship widely used in modern idiom.
Dynamism is added to the circle in the many images of the disc with rays, wings of flames found in religious iconography, notably Sumerian, Egyptian and Mexican. They symbolized solar power or creative energy and fertilizing the cosmos forcing.
During the Renaissance, a circle was considered was considered the perfect shape. According to the architect Vitruvius (I ct.b.c.):”If man lies on his back with hands and feet outspread, and the centre of the circle is placed on his navel, his fingers, and toes will be touched by the ‘circumference’. Leonardo da Vinci‘s “Vitruvian man” is perhaps best known example of this human geometry. The Renaissance and later periods admired them for surviving ancient circular temples, such as Pantheon in Rome. They inspired Bram ante’s Tempietto (San Pietro) – in Montoria, Rome. They where depicted in paintings with classical themes or settings.
Concentric circles can stand for celestial hierarchies (as in the choirs of angels symbolizing the heaven in Renaissance art), levels in the afterworld or, in Buddhism, stages of spiritual development. Three circles can stand for the Christian Trinity but also for the divisions of the time, the elements, the seasons or the movement of the sun and the phases of the moon. The circle could be masculine moreover on the contrary he is the feminine or the movement of the sun and the phases of the moon. The circle is like female womb and as light from sun who give the life for all human beings.  A circle (female) over a cross (male) is a symbol of union of the Egypt, also known in northern Europe, the Middle East and China.  The Chinese YIN-YANG SYMBOL of male interdependence uses two colures within the circle, divided by an S – shaped curve, each including a smaller circle of the opposing co lour.  A dot within a circle is the astrological symbol for the gold.
The circle combined with the square is a Jungian archetypical symbol about relation of the relationship between the psyches or self (circle) and the (body) or material reality of the reality of the square. This interpretation is supported but Buddhist mandalas in which squares inside circle represents the passage from material to spiritual planets.
Old Jin Jang mystic symbol
In Western and Eastern thought, the circle enclosing a square stands the for heaven enclosing the earth. Circular domes, vaults of the Cupolas incorporate the celestial symbolism of the rounded decoration in Romanesque churches or pagan temples into architecture based on the square, cross or rectangle.” Squaring the circle” was Renaissance and alchemical allegory of the difficulty of constructing perfection of the earth material. Conversely, the cabbalistic image of circle within a square of symbolizes the divine spark within a material body.
