The professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself.
“It’s overfull! No more will go in!” the professor blurted.
“You are like this cup,” the master replied,
“How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?”

     Totality, perfection, unity, eternity, - a symbol of completeness that can include ideas of both permanence and dynamism. The correlation between the discoveries of atomic physics and mystical notions of the circle is striking. Apart from the point of the centre, with which it shares much of symbolism, the circle is only geometrical shape without divisions and alike the points.
